Welcome to Sónnios, a meditation studio entirely dedicated to yoga nidra, a simple and intuitive meditative experience that is based on the biological process of sleep.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Martino. I am the creator and narrating voice of Sónnios. I facilitate your journey of conscious sleep as a tool for healing, transformation, and realization.

I am an expert in Asian and Cultural Studies and write about the history of religions in India, Tibet, and China. I live and work between Olbia and Sassari in northern Sardinia, where I offer guided meditations for Sónnios Studio. In Sardinian, the word “sónnios” means “dreams.”

I have been meditating for over twenty-five years within two different lineages, one Buddhist and one Hindu. I have always had a particular interest in the world of dreams and the role of the dream dimension in meditation from Indian, Tibetan, and Chinese traditions.

In 2019, I was the victim of a serious accident and suffered of a traumatic brain injury that changed the trajectory of my life. During rehabilitation, I was invited to incorporate I AM Yoga Nidra™ as a tool to facilitate my healing process.

This journey has accompanied me in the intensive learning of techniques and strategies that have helped me live a full and meaningful life—even when life itself has presented me with a course of events that was very different and certainly more challenging than I could have expected. My gratitude goes to many on this journey of transformation, and especially to Elisa, Kamini, John, and Suzanne.

At Sónnios Studio, I offer advanced level I AM Yoga Nidra™ guided meditations for adults and am accredited by the Amrit Yoga Institute and I AM Education.

Here, through a distillation of essential instructions from the lineage masters, notably Swami Kripalu, Gurudev Shri Amritji, and Kamini Desai, I offer a wide range of guided meditations that are effective in treating common health issues such as insomnia and sleep quality, stress and anxiety, habits and addictions, trauma and post-traumatic stress.

Through conscious sleep, I help you reach the island within you—a safe space for everyone regardless of national origin, ethnicity, religion or belief, gender identity, or sexual orientation—an inner island where you can take refuge whenever feelings or emotions of fear, suffering, or discomfort are triggered.

I invite you to dedicate just over half an hour of your time to try an immersive experience of conscious sleep.
